Anchor issue how much chain not setting properly

hey fellas havin anchor issues just wondering how much chain users are running from the rope to anchor as I believe that's where my issue is. cheers again

The chart doesnt specify an anchor type? Huge difference in holding power between say a danforth and Delta or Sarca.
Really depends what the purpose is also, id say 9 meters of 8mm chain for a 6 meter boat is at the upper end of whats needed if its just for fishing rather than overnighting.
For fishing id use 6 meters of 6mm rated shortlink, much easier to retrieve

My setup
My setup uses cheap 10lb plough anchor with 8m of 8mm chain for a 5.1m Quintrex. Works great.

length of rope out is equally
length of rope out is equally important 3x the depth is usually the rule in normal conditions (ie 90m or rope out in 30m of water)

best anchor out add three metres of chain and your away add to that the right amount of rope and you will anchor anywhere

i drop mine in reef all the time
as long as its not huge nigga heads they have no worries just drive forward of the anchor and up she comes
