Milky Slime through prop?
I have just purchased a second hand Tohatsu 9.8 2 stroke. Its only done 1-2 hrs and has never been in the water ( so i am told and it certainly looks that way)
It is still in its run in period running 25:1
It runs perfectly ( with no load just on the stand) but when i stopped it the first time there was a bit of a Milky/ Cream slime come out of the Propeller ( say a tea spoon) that came out of the exhaust.
So flushed the lower leg oil ( it was already perfectly clean) cleaned the slime out of the prop and ran it a few times and it seemed to get less and less every time after i cleaned it.
So my question is what is it? and i should i be worried or is it something to do with the run in ?
Some suggestions on the net include:
Water in lower leg ( which i have discounted)
Old fogging oil
Cracked head
Any more ?
Cheers

Well thats what i first thought. Just not sure and i dont wanna drop the oil to 50:1 until ive done the hrs. Either way could be causing damage!

Lean it out.
It's run in - if you are using good quality premix oil then u certainly wouldn't worry about leaning it out after a few hours. Think about how many times that piston has cycled in just 2 hours.
