I use an 8-10kg version teamed with 975 LD , for shallow water jigging, and bottom bouncing. Used it heaps on a trip to Exxy last year, love mine to bits.
Thats sounds like what im chasing there deefa! A good 8 to 10 kg for a spare to my current snapper outfit which is also used for smaller trevs and the such up north. Currently using gloomis 8kg green rod and calcutta with 20lb braid. Apsolutly love this combo which i origanlly brought in broome to tackle barra and thredies but its very versitle which is why i love it. Will be checking out these rods soon but starting to fall in love with the blue starlo stix's by shimano! There only around the $100 mark and have quality coponents, finished off nice and the 2 ive got now i couldnt be happier with. Check them out also for cheap good gear.IMO.
