Another Mulloway on the Kayak
Submitted by BunburyYakfisha on Sat, 2012-05-19 22:28
Hi all.
As im no stranger to mulloway on the kayak, this guy was the biggest i landed so far he measure at 93cm and gave the 4000 a workout. Ive hooked much bigger but just are very hard to land on a yak.
That same day i lost a BIG mulla just couldnt stop him... But i was pretty happy to go home with him.
Anyways heres some Pics..

Id be thinking of going a bit heavier on the gear there but what type of 4000 reel is it? Also wondering whether the fish was caught where the pic was taken because im skeptical of that haha

The Reel I used was the Shimano sendona 4000fd, only used that because i dont really wanna take my stella 5000 or 8000sw on the yak.
As for the photo it was taken on the paddle home, beacuse i dint take a photo as soon as i got it because they were on the Bite...

Quality fish man seems like
Quality fish man seems like you have the yak fishing sorted, the 4000 sounds perfect for mulloway that's all I ever use or a small overhead and 20lb stops almost anything.
always looking for a new challenge!!

Excuse the brainless
Excuse the brainless question, but are these awesome fish you're getting in bunbury as your alias would suggest, or are you taking them metro?
