In all seriousness I agree Dale, he's in a world of hurt even though it sounds self inflicted. We all know as footy lovers he was a champion bloke in his time, a real hard campaigner on the field but fair.. Has had a good coaching career and now sadly fallen in a hole.
My heart does bleed though for the fella shot in South Hedland , genuine mental health issues and once again sounds like he was a decent fella when well. Was formerly a chalky and although divorced had a young family, I hope they (the family) can get some support in this shit time.

Dean Laidley joined North Melbourne in 1993 after five seasons with the West Coast Eagles.
After retiring in 1997 he turned to coaching and in 2003 was awarded the top job at the club where he finished his career.
He coached the Kangaroos for six-and-a-half season before being sacked in 2009.
One of the most infamous moments of his career involved the suicide of a fan after a run-in with Laidley in 2006.
That incident 'haunted' Laidley, who in recent months had collapsed into despair, as those around the Moonee Ponds area where he lived knew all too well.
In recent months he had been seen getting about town barefoot and disheveled.
Laidley was arrested on Sunday evening and charged with stalking and a number of other offences.
The father-of-three was pictured wearing a blonde wig, makeup and a woman's dress during an interview with police. He also reportedly told officers to call him 'Daniella'.
It is understood those close to him were aware of his life choices and had accepted them.

That last line sums it all up for me Hezzy, I was saying to the missus last night when everyone was going on about the hard road ahead and how he's in a bad place etc, that he might actually be the happiest he's been in years doing what hes doing, just because it doesn't sit well with the majority of people doesnt mean he's not living life.

Cops deserve to be hauled over the coals for releasing those photos.
Interesting story last night about the decline of ex-coaches. Laidely, Bomber Thompson, Hird, Danny Frawley, the list goes on. Maybe just hard to cope with no longer being a part of the big time, or perhaps the stress does long-term damage? We see these guys getting paid a shitload but there can be a downside too. Sad story.
