 Should be a few sails still in the gulf plus the added bonus of a few blues turning up if you take the heavy tackle. Not a bad time of year.

Most of the beaches down the

Most of the beaches down the east side will hold golden trevors, good whiting and flathead - gold twisty or the maribou jigs from bluewater are the go. There will be resident jacks and queenies around the wharves.

Go from the lighthouse to the wreck on the northern tip any of the surf beaches are good up there spinning stick baits or better still crabs (catch them around the rocks or baited bucket in sand) on a big circle hook.

If you want to put a big bend in your rod, cast a mulie out on sunset or after and count to 10.

We had a gem of week up there 3 years ago in early November so hopefully get lucky with the weather.
