Any luck today?
Headed out with woodies point at 0600 thismorning to 13m on the back of Garden island. Found a likely lump on my sounder though after playing around this lump and others for three hours, nothing.
Four types of plastics, lead head jig, whole squid and Mulies and prawns. Had 6 lines in for most of the day (3 ppl) without a single nibble.
Moved out to 5fb and managed a couple of small reef critters before heading into Mewstone for some mid morning brekkie. Threw in the lines again and instantly got a 10cm flathead which went back.
Not in a mood to accept not catching anything, we joined the 10 or so boats following a salmon school around and proceeded to land and release 5 very energetic fish.
did anyone have any luck today. Speaking with some other guys at Woodmans point they similarly caught nothing over six hours. Thankfully the conditions, company and boat were all good.

Got 8 dhuies kept 2 around 8 kilo the rest went back most around 6 kilo got 4 baldies and 2 nice pinkies one around 9 kilo was a great day out there till the starter motor packed in and we had to strip it on the deck and file out the brush holder so the brushes would reach but got going again so good day

Got to the SW side of rotto at around 6.30, drifted over some promising ground in the 40s for 2 hours with plasitcs and got nada, besides the sounder showing fish. Eventually decided to switch to bait and first drop a double hook up with a decent blackarse and undersize dhue, fewdrifts and a few more undersized dhues and blackarse were caught . Headed over carnac way with no love and then a quick salmon sesh at mewstones. Couldn't find the big ones today
