anyone launch at ocean reef yesterday?

Hi Guys
Just noticed yesterday when I drove out through the lead lines at ocean reef there are about 10-15 cray pots setup right where you cross through the 3mile on the lead line WNW direction. It took a bit of zig zagging to get through, wouldnt want to be doing this in the dark and a bit foolish IMO by whoever set them there, they were hard to see just with the amount of swell running

what about the upturned boat floating just out to the right
when we told them on the radio check in they said oh yeah that's from yesterday,no signs of any warnings though,how would you like to hit that!!

upturned Yacht
We attended the upturned yacht on Saturday about 4.00pm. It capsized coming into the marina due to a larger swell coming through the entrance. The owner had raised the keel due to the shallow entrance.
We attempted to tow the vessel out of the entrance as it was a hazard. Unfortunately after breaking numerous ropes it ended up near the reef north of the marina. We could not secure or place danger marker on it.
It was not until the next morning that it was located 500mtrs offshore. Our tower presumed it had already been recovered or sank, we deened it too dangerous to attempt to tow it back into the marina and left it to the dept of transport to sort out.
The cray pot float are always an issue on the leads and should not be there but you can't tell the pro's that as they don't care.

I think I saw part of the console floating around off that boat, yep Randall they would be pro pots, plenty in close at the moment. They just need to leave say a 40m channel on the lead line and the rest is fair game
