Im chasing opinions from you blokes about the benefit of arb intensity lights from those of you who have them

ive got hid lightforce now and they are bright as most of you know

but I'm tossing up whether to get the intensitys

I've got two HID Hellas, one

I've got two HID Hellas, one diffused and one spot. I also have a 24" Wurton LED light bar. The combination is so effective I love to set out at 0300 - 0400 on long trips. Its all very much down to the individual and very dependant on use but you really need both versions as no LED light is ever going to give you the distance/depth coverage that a conventional spotlight will. Apologies for not being the exact answer you were looking for but another point of view.

I do a fair bit of night

I do a fair bit of night driving between Broome and Perth. I had rallye 4000's with a hid conversion plus hid upgraded headlights on my hilux and they were pretty good.

Now im in a 200 series with a better standard high beam and a rigid e2 lightbar. I really don't notice the difference in distance and the spread is far better

Just a FYI while we're on the subject of spotties/light bars etc.
personally I run 3 x IPF 900XS spotties with 100w HID conversion kits and a 33" 180w LED light bar, amazingly bright combo, awesome for distance and spread, gotta squint your eyes when you come up to those big white overtaking lane signs!

I got intensity  on my cruiser, they are good for close scrub driving very bright. But not good for long distance. They fade out over a few hundred metres.

but imo they are good because you can leave high beam on that little bit longer and not drive in darkness till you get past big trucks coming in oposite direction

Iv got the 90w HID XRay

Sun, 2015-11-08 23:26

Iv got the 90w HID XRay vision with a 32" 240w light bar across the top of my bull bar. I'm pretty happy with it! On my last car I had the light force hid with a 48" light bar. I think my new set ups better but I don't know how many watts the 42" was. My only problem is the size of the spotties to the ARB bar Id like to be able to tilt them up a little more but they hit the side of the bar
