Are marine maps for GPS units available as a download?

Hey just wondering if there is a website to download free maps to the gps unit or you HAVE to buy the little sdcard? Not 100% sure if you do have to buy it whats the rough ball figure i should pay for say a WA map going from esperance to northern Wa? I will also start making some calls today when i wake up, just finished work

You can download charts off the net for the garmin GPS's as a mate has done it for his it's the C-Map charts

I got navionics on my iphone seems like gold chart quality I would just not trust the gps position 100% as i trust my raymarine :) was only about $20
