Ashes Cricket - 2nd Test

Just putting some good vibes out for the aussies tonight, if they can pull off this win man that would be insane.

The two hunjy runs required is easy enough with a full day of play remaining, just need to see if they can hold on to their wickets.  I reckon it's do-able, but close.  If Clarke and Haddin can hang around for another 70-100 runs then it's game on!

Johnson

If Johnson didn't bowl meat pies- we would have been chasing 115 less runs- therefore we would have won.

Sorry to bag out our best bowler over the past year- but he is bowling poop

Well so much for that

Well so much for that idea.  So close but so far hey.

Got to agree with Mitch and his pies, everyone has bad days, pity that it's during the Ashes that it happens but.

Oh well bring on the third test, still time to redeem ourselves, and we're holding the Ashes too so that gives us an advantage.

I hear that umpire Rudie and Kevin Pietersen

Tue, 2009-07-21 07:42

have close ties back in South Africa. But it may be just a coincidence that he has been given not out at least twice when he was clearly out in the first 2 tests.
Just like the last time we went to the UK when Rudie stitched us up - I am sure it is just a coincidence.

Or is it?

Ashes 2005

Brett Lee received an apology from Rudi Koertzen after hitting Kevin Pietersen with a thigh-high full-toss on day three.
“I think Rudi just lost it, he said that he didn’t really pick it up,” Lee told AAP. “He said he may have got it wrong, he apologised.”

Ashes 2009

Nathan Hauritz was convinced he got his fingers underneath the contentious catch that prompted Ricky Ponting to confront umpire Rudi Koertzen and exchange words with Kevin Pietersen as Australia’s Ashes campaign threatened to unravel at Lord’s on Saturday.

They gave them all a medal last time, so that is the next step.
