Assassin or bar crusher

Hi guys
just want to know what people's thoughts are on some decent aluminium boats, I am converting from glass to aluminium and hav been looking at bar crushers and assassin boats, the only downside to the bar crusher is that you can't walk to the front of the boat easy. Please Give me your input/ thoughts on this topic or any other decent aluminium boats.

With prejudice, Barcrusher. I
With prejudice, Barcrusher. I did a lot of shopping around prior to the final decision and have no regrets. Negatives would access to the front of the boat, access to rod rack difficult without standing on seats, not one cup holder on the boat! also a couple of sinker holders would be great. something common to a lot of boats, when its pitch dark you can see a damn thing on the dash until you turn the lights on. I use a small torch to find the right switches - for the lights! Other than that sweet as a nut.

Eh?
Wotaya mean hard to get up front?
I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.

assassin boats
hey mate l not bagging bar crushers but I been in 780 ht an owned 660 assassin hardtop an all I can say is test run the assassin in the rough weather an you will order 1 , I am going to put an order in soon for a 710 ht assassin. . my opinion is the bar crusher sat out off the water to much for my liking. witch made it bang alot an to narrow didnt feel soild but everyone is different. the best thing is seatrial both in big seas but in the end its up to you its ur money if u need any more advice call bunbury sports marine ask for damo have beachlaunched it at gnarloo esy as remember any boats a good boat if its getting fish but for id go assassin

wasted space
Never ridden in either , but assassin seem to waste a lot of deck space at the back. Any reason why you narrowed it down to those when theres so many more better setup for the price.

Ive been out on a Assassin
Ive been out on a Assassin and it surprised me. Didnt think a ally could handle the 25 knot winds and seas as this one did.

What size boat are you
What size boat are you looking for and what type of use do you want to get out of it, i dont know a lot of people that like going out fishing in 25kts but in saying that ive had my 560 barcrusher out in some messy stuff and still fished well and felt safe as houses.

I had one of his boats, nice rig. They are one of the few that will water test on a rough day.

Assassin
Hey Mate,
I recently sold my "Backcrusher" 670 and baught a goldstar 7m hard top..... WOW What a difference, would never recommend a backcrusher to anyone. I test drove the Assassin before I went with Goldstar and the only reason why I went the Goldstar was Assassin couldnt build be a boat within 4 months. They are an awesome boat and you wont be dissapointed
I go boating not fishing

You know the
You know the story..dickheads at seabreeze say 10 to 15kts most of the day so of you go to check the pots. Within haft an hour wind starts to pick up. Commited now and before you know it its on or around 25kts. 6 odd nm out we go. Lucky me and my back were on an Assassin. Just didnt know how to come down hard.

Hi piggy
Just curious on your review of your 670 as I currently own a 680 and I rate it as one of the best ally tubs I have owned for its size. Previous tubs have been razorline back In the good old days of Hampton yachts run by Milton Rob and Pixie also a lock up cabin 7.8 meter oceanic built by woody.
Sorry guys first post long time fence sitter pics and profile update to follow
cheers Paul

I've got a 7.3 Barcrusher locked away in the shed at home. I feel the pain of Peko about initially finding the switches in the dark. But we done some rewiring and made it a lot easier.
As soon as the water is even looks like its thinking about getting rough, I lock the water in the ballast. I've given my kidneys/liver a hiding in the past, so I take every measure to try and protect them a bit more. The lack of stubbie holders is just un-Australian in my books, but the new bait boards have 3 between the rod holders. Wouldn't take much to put a couple in the gunwales either I imagine.
As for walking to the front, I tend to climb around the side as compared to go thru the bow anyhow, I got it to the stage no water comes thru those seals, so it stays closed.
