Australia Day in Pohnpei for the Soupsters

Howdy All. I've nearly been over here in Micronesia for four weeks now and work has been pretty busy. Managed to take the boat out for Australia Day and gave my wife Nic her first taste of fishing over here. We trolled just outside the reef breaks and managed a solid wahoo on a halco deep diver. We made Nic wind it in and she nearly didn't have the energy to hold it up for a photo. Needless to say she was stoked. Finished the day off with a looky/see dive; great to be in the water in a pair of boardies instead of 8mms of wetsuit.

That is a nice Wahoo. No wonder she was tired.

DhuBoi - I was lucky enough to get a spot on the Pacific Patrol Boat Program with the Australian Navy. Basically we are here to help them keep their patrol boats in good nic and make sure that they get the training that is required. A sweet deal for sure.
