So we found some weird orange floats out fishing today, first we pulled over to take a look, then some plane buzzed us a few times.
It didn't have any obvious missiles or guns, but we took the hint and left them alone after that.
Later we phoned a friend, he said they're some sort of disposable acoustic toy for detecting submarines. We really wanted to see a colins class on the sounder, so we hung around for awhile, but we didn't get a visit.

I heard a few securitae calls on channel 16 today, didn't hear the location though as I had it turned down (guessing Exmouth region) but it was for naval/air force training.

We saw a ship out, a choppers
We saw a ship out, a choppers and even a jet. We didn't really put it all together till we got a flyby after we pulled over to pick up what we thought was floating rubbish. After we saw the electronics and the plane, we decided it was in-use and left them to it.

Somethin was goin on
I was in and out of the fishing boat harbour today, had seahawk choppers fly low over the coast the last two days, saw two warships heading back to garden island around 4ish and best part was a big rib with a 50 cal on the front come in to pull up to joes fish shack....

Yeah there were 2 naval boats way out wide on Sat with a chopper. Even a big bomber plane came out flying low.

they have been out there on and off for a few weeks
two weeks back when i was out at harpooka hill they were blowing the crap outta something you could hear and feel the explosions and see the ships in the distance! had the deckie thinking we should get the hell outta there!
