definitely need to be experienced and like you said not for the weak hearted, fishing is all about angles know your gear and trust in it you shouldnt run into too much problems, even if they didnt gaff that tuna the fish was stuck there on that rope(unless the hook gets pulled out) because that bamboo was on such a angle that it they could of sat there all day and let the fish swim around till its pretty much tired.
