Hi all, I'm trying to figure out where to get (SOR) mulie what are suitable for 4/0 and 5/0 gangs. Most of the stuff I have been buying has been too wide for the hooks. When I push the hook through the body it doesnt go far enough through to turn without tearing up the flesh.
Target is tailor/salmon from shore so I don't think I should be going to larger hooks...

not sure about the hook size
not sure about the hook size but if you salt your mullies it makes them alot firmer and they last longer

snell the hooks on light plastic coated flexible wire
makes them much easier to bait up with, i just use the cheap stuff in kmart never had a problem - caught a small 1.5m long hammerhead on it once with snelled hooks and didnt bite through
