Base Camp Boat

So the boss is on side and the plan is to sell the Jayco Swan, 6m pacemaker centre console and turn that into a 7m boat. Likely aluminium with room for the kids to sleep in the bow, and the boss and I in a swag in the back.
Great intention is camp outs at the islands off Jurien, bit of time in Shark Bay and eventually the Abrolhos along with the obvious Garden Island and Rotto trips which I have been unable to get over the line with the current setup.
The biggest thing is what boat? I have always liked the look of the 660 Sportscabs though those reef runners look good, just aluminium dents instead of rips.
Budget is less than $40k...

Still plenty of good, older reef runners around that budget.
for peace of mind, you want something with good reputation to bring you home safe in shit weather, and a Caribbean will shit that in.
I had a Caribbean Concorde (5.8m), and we regularly did rotto overnight runs and DHI. I currently have a 22ft Whittley, but will be going back to a Caribbean in the future.
