Beach camping between Perth and jurien?
Submitted by Drillzy87 on Wed, 2013-09-25 08:13
Hey guys. We had the long weekend planned for a boys trip down to mallimup beach, found out the track is shut so we changed it to Yeagerup........ Now the weather is near gale winds down that way!
Does anyone know of any good beach camping/fishing spots between two rocks and jurien bay? I'm from bunbury and usually head south so I'm not experienced up that way! Any help would be very much appreciated!! Just looking for a good spot that won't have heaps of people there, decent beach fishing and not washed away!
Thanks in advance

Hey guys, we ended up
Hey guys, we ended up staying at two rocks about 10kms in on the tracks. Beach was pretty much washed away and extremely soft so we stayed off and watched everyone else get stuck!! Beach and every single campsite was absolutely littered with broken bottles, I mean everywhere the place was disgusting! I certainly will never go back!! It's not hard to tell it was close to Perth!! Fished like mad but caught nothing but two reef fish. Had excellent company and had a good time, just had to wear boots everywhere (including the beach)

And that is why we have to go further and further away to find a nice place.
People who trash these sites should be shot, on site.
Our first trip to Sandy Cape was during easter. Driving south, you cross a sand dune (at the northern end of Jurien Bay), with no one in site, and smashed bottles burnt cartons, the occasional tyre ect. A real shame that a beautiful site is just trashed with 'people were here' crap.
