Bedford murders
I'm certainly not trying to be insensitive here and my thoughts certainly go out to friends and family in what can only be described as a totally messed up tragedy however.....
I find there are double standards when these things go on,
Anytime a firearm is used the anti gun fraternity are quick to jump on it and blame the gun, i've been trying to find out how this family was murdered and it seems like a knife/knives and a blunt object has been seized by Police....
On another topic, did anybody see the hit on that bikie in Canberra that was caught on cctv the other day?
3 carrying pistols and 1 carrying a shotgun, there was a shoot out before they doused the place and set it alight....
I wonder how many of those guys were law abiding and had their firearms registered and went through the proper channels like we have to?
We all know the answer to that however it always seems to come back the law abiding folk that the spotlight gets turned on....

dont know what was going on in this tossers head but why take the lives of 3 innocent kids, if you have a prob with your partner or others take it out on them (not that i condone this sort of shit ) but leave the kids alone, hope this low life suffers like hell on the inside, if others get hold of him he certainly will be in a world of pain.
as hard as some of the inmates might be i know they dont tolerate people like this if you can call them people, only a few animals around the world will take the lives of their own young

We live in a political unstable landscape, 7 pm's in 11 years i think the last count was....
I assure you there are votes in banning guns, marine sanctuaries and the likes....
I am still fucking pissed off Johnny Howard was able/allowed to amend the firearm laws to the extent he did....
Desperate politicians will do whatever they can to secure a vote, i brought this up as it was a non gun related slaying of 5 family members....

Forgot to mention that my dad was a professional shooter when I was a younger lad. so i have no problems at allwith Firearms. Infact I miss shooting because he’s out of the game and I have nowhere to go.

It's like a lot of polarizing issues these days Rob where you seem to get two camps at the extremes of both sides of the issue shouting at each other, using unrelated incidents for their cause/arguement (see Yassmin Abdel-Magied) and shouting down with vitriol anyone that doesn't completely agree with their view.
If one wants to disengage those in the middle on an issue or even push them away from your side of the arguement then it's a sure fire way to go about it.

Take the F%$&wit father who thinks it's ok for his daughter to cause dissent and disobediance at her school for not standing for the anthem. The little sprat doesn't seem to understand it's divisive and contradictory to what she's trying to achieve. Also that she's at school to learn and gain discipline, I reckon the school were correct in suspending her. Plenty of time for her at Uni to become a green activist.

The real issue here is this bloke obviously wasn't in the right head space and unfortunately innocent people paid the price, if only someone had seen the signs before it came to what it did. I was in NZ on duck opening day a while back, front page was father and son with a full bag of ducks they'd shot ready to be plucked and hit the freezer......
If that was Australia it would have been some knob like that Laurie Levy dickhead carrying a baby swan ( probably plucked from a nest to bolster their arguement ) with headlines about cruelty to animals stating the swan had been shot!!

I guess when i think social media i think Facebook, a lot of people out there think if its written on Facey then it must be true.
I don't put our forum in the same vein as facey, i haven't had it for a long time now though so i can't really comment but Facebook seems like its a pretty powerful platform for better and worse.
