Hi guys,
heading North in a cpl weeks and running low on snap swivels.
was just gunna grab some of the black magic ones from bcf but was wondering if anyone thinks its worth getting a particular brand for quality reasons?.
I cant say Ive ever had any fail on me but doesn't mean it doesn't happen?
Experience? Thoughts??
cheers in advance

Bearing are the best IMO, get what you pay for.

Sorido from Rigmaster
Way cheaper but truly quality Japanese ball-bearing swivels ......largest size is only $18 for a pack of ten .....there are five sizes available from around $12 for a pack of ten ......have used them for years and never had a failure

best brand snap swivels
I haven't been on this site for a long time. I use crane swivels, just the plain ones and I make my own snap swivels by using some Eagle Claw duo-lock snaps that I can just fit to a standard swivel. I hurl 7 ounce grapel sinkers in the surf - up to quite large snapper sinkers for boat fishing. I've got a couple of sizes. I got sick of paying a fortune for a glorified snap swivel and bought some bulk packets of duo-locks from the USA years ago. Cost me stuff-all, especially back then, and I can put together snap swivels to use for anything from flathead (I'm a VIC, sorry) to good size shark rigs. I find crane swivels to be great for most things, using bait at least. These snaps don't fail me in my use.

Plus one for the ball
Plus one for the ball bearing ones. Brand is less important IMO.

I buy the cheap neptune ones from Coles (yes they stock fishing gear up north).
Not one has failed.
