Best small winch ( semi portable)

Fellas I'm looking at buying a winch to get a dingi on the canopy roof and also if/when needed for doing some winching out 4x4 or trailer etc.

I'll have it mounted so it will be able to slot it in the Reece hitch but it won't be permanently mounted.

I want something reliable and strong without it being too big and heavy.

Has anyone got anything or can recommend anything that might suit?

Good gear those custom boatloaders, I love the ability to hold a cold tinnie in your hand while watching your big tinnie get loaded with ease.
BOON fit a winch to your fourby and get a roller for the top of your bullbar and the front of your rack.

Has anyone here had a crack at building a "SCRUBBYS BOAT LOADER"?

I'm going to have a crack I reckon, I've just got to work out how to mount a winch on a non winch bullbar

we just had two rollers added to the rear of an extended roof rack and despite being a solid tinny it was easy as to load.....we toyed with a winch but you still need to stand up the tinny so it seemed pointless as once stood up and leaned onto the rack one person could load it at a pinch

Keep your eye on gumtree,

Keep your eye on gumtree, just picked up a fully automatic CBL for a mate for $2200 but can usually get the drill operated one cheaper again. As your putting it on a canopy you could adapt any model to suit your mounting points. they are a good bit of gear .I love the ease of use of mine.
