I've done best on metro yellowfin around January/February/March along the southern side of Rotto (Parker Point) and also on the 100-120m mark along the back of Rotto.
Look for birds and bait as usual, but also dolphins feeding on bait as yellowfin will feed with/below the dolphins. If your hanging to get one, Kalbarri is a good yft location.

the best thing about kalbarri for yellowfin tuna is you dont have to go far to get them. Ive caught them to 15kg in practicaly in the river mouth as well as mackerel

Kalbarri Trip
Sounds good cheif, Im planning on taking the family up there in Febuary.Prime Tuna and Mackerel time. So good time to head up if your keen. Got a couple of mates interested aswell. Thinking of leaving the family there and heading up to False Entrance for a couple of days with the boys from Kalbarri. So should be a good trip if you want.
