big flatty

boated this beauty today on the city side of canning bridge. thought i was snagged until a big thud of my rod tip and it showed itself. couldnt believe my eyes.

caught on a mid diving zipbait, 1000 saros with 3.5lb braid, 6lb leader and a 2-4 kilo rod.

went 58cm.

stoked to say the least.

When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:

n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or

n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

Top catch! I would imagine it gave that combo a little tickle. Fantastic!

Been a few horses been landed lately. Exciting to think it's not even summer yet...

50cm in the river is the 'horse' benchmark. Great fish at 58cm.
