Bilge Alarm

Anyone got one of these? I am thinking of upgrading one of my bilge swtiches to one of these and installing a float switch to let me know if the water level goes above my two automatic bilge pumps.

Had one in my last boat
Worked a treat. Just make sure you test it now and then and don't just assume that it's all ok forever. Just reach down and lift the float and make sure the pumps switches on.

Looks like a good system
Looks like a good system though can't see a pic
Bilge pumps as noted above are notorious for clogging with nylon hair etc so a regular test as above is a good idea

The older you get the more you realize that no one has a f++king clue what they're doing.

Bilge Pumps
To save yourself the cost of a third float switch just wire the alarm system to your second, and highest bilge pump. If the first pump fails or cant keep up then when the second kick's in the alarm goes off to let you know there is a problem but the second pump is already taking care of it.
Most larger boats work that kind of system.
Sometimes when the water is quiet, you can hear the fish laughing at you !
