Gnaraloo 2016
Submitted by sea-kem on Sat, 2016-06-18 17:26
So it's on in two weeks time, heading up on Sat 2nd July for hopefully 10 glorious days, taking both my sons for the first time and just hope to hell to put them onto some good fish. Let them get a tatse of some savage fishing. Boat serviced thanks to Johnny at North Coast Marine, trailer bearings renewed and all bolts rattled up. Was speaking with Dave from Extreme coolers and he is getting in there the day before us, so will be looking forward to some good banter and a bit of mine's bigger than yours lol. Any other members going up at the same time? If so give a hoy or drop over for a beer, staying in cabin 6

Good luck mate
When we went, the weather was pretty bloody average every day except the last days fishing.
We did get some good fish from a small boat though so worth the effort

Hope so, as long as there's none of those huge puddles along the way. She's a good old stick, keeps Paul in check I think.

while you are there. Don't worry about the footy banter while you are away - we will keep those pesky Frocker supporters in check :).

Quick update, heading home
Quick update, heading home today due to the massive wind and swell for the next few days. But luckily the last two days were awesome weather wise and we smashed it fishing. The young blokes have literally used up all my plastics and jigs. The biggest rankin I've ever seen pulled up my my oldest on a 7" glitter using his Gomoku and 2500 Catalina. I'll post a few pics when I get a chance. Dave from extreme put in the hard yards with the average previous weather and bagged out for the three of them. Species caught, Red Emp, Rankin, Coronation Trout, Baldchin, Saddle tail, Cobia (1 @ 11.5 kg and 1 @ 10.8 kg) and big Redthroat.

I haven't seen the sun in weeks, been struggling to get past 15 degrees and I'm in the middle of the Pilbara.
