sounds a bit suss...is it a
sounds a bit suss...is it a new filter or second hand....if second hand it could be that the filtering foams are to dense and not letting enough water through? Are you assembling it the right way around each time? Is it sucking in air anywere? An air pocket in the filter will stop it pumping propperly.

NOOOO WAY! Eheim is much
NOOOO WAY! Eheim is much better quality than Aqua One crap..... I have an Aqua One, and every time (once a year) it gets a clean out, I gota replace several o-rings in the head and valves coz it will leak. I keep sayin I will pick up another Eheim before cleanin out the A1 again but I dont, still going after years so cant complain too much
I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.

Yep Eheim is German made top
Yep Eheim is German made top quality. Sounds like it may be slowly sucking air and then losing its pressure.

u will hear the air.. or see it
I put my money on the filter media blocking up and slowing down the water flow through - one of those balls blocking the flow or ur sponge is to old and is compacting tight after a bit of time.
you will hear the air or see tiny bubbles coming out of the outlet pipe if u have an air leak.
Just diagnose it. take all ur media out first (but keep it wet and aerated).then 2 play with the impellor
be something simple even a kinking hose- good luck

Eheim is one off the best
Eheim is one off the best aquarium brands on the markets I work in a fish retail store we've had two units running for about 15years now and never had a drama highly recomend them over any other filter on the market
now to ur problem could be a number off things it wouldn't be air gettin in as ud see it in ur return pipe with little bubbles. Could possibly be ur impellor is damaged have had a few people that come in thinking it's all fine but it's not the media could be part off the problem
if u get stuck feel free to bring it into the bird and fish place wattle grove and I can have a good look at it for you I work part time Monday Tuesday Friday
thanks chris
