Bleek Friday

Took my troubled son for a fish this morning. Got out before sunrise, tried a few spots along the James Service and also along Five Fathom Bank. After 4.5hrs = 1 Skippy. What am I doing wrong. We were out early, burlied hard, plenty of structure, but no Snapper!!!

Wondering if any Rocko/Mandurah fishos have any tips, so I can keep the son involved (and my frustrations)

Thanks

And it was offshore but inshore was dead, fished 4.40 to 7am over reef edge in Sound chasing snapper and not a touch, went out wide at 7 and bagged out with great dhuies and black bum by 10.30 and only used 39 litres of fuel ......love the full moon as always seem to do really well

Wide as in 45 metres of water

Over hard coral limestone, wasn't that comfortable as the easterly was perhaps 13 or 14 knots and a short and steep swell but the fish were going nuts, my mate and I even shared a fish, took both his and my baits and we both hooked it, really funny fight as my mate called it as " lost it" as I was obviously gaining line quicker than he was........we got three dhuies in minutes returning the smallest which was still well and truly size and it swam off strongly

Am no expert Tom haven't

Am no expert Tom haven't caught a size snapper on the FFB off Mandurah since I started fishing it over the past year but have got a lot of other fish. Found the better ground to be on the FFB in 12m of water from the marina north. Have not had much luck between Mandurah and Dawesville and have not yet ventured further south, plan to this arvo and to head out deeper into the 30s as well. Have caught bugger all on the James Service

 Thanks boys, I have caught

Thanks boys, I have caught fish in James Service, including Dhuies and Sambos but I thought the Snapper were going off in close at the moment. I know of a fella who regularly catches Snapper behing Horse Shoe but I havent.
