Blue Ring Warning

Hi Guys
I have been reading up all your cray fishing reports and it sounds like some are having an awsome time and some not so much. I personaly only use my pots when Im on holidays as I am just that bit to far from the water to drop and pull them regulary. So Iam a bit jealous.
One of the reports I have found is that there have been some Blue Ringed Octopus pulled up in there pots in the Northern suburbs of Perth. Just thought I would warn everyone to be careful out there
and maybe use a bit of PPE. As I have heard these can be nasty.
Cheers

Yes sir
Not only up north my neighbour who Crays out of Bent st south of Rockingham has had 2 x blue rings so far fall on the deck an they are tiny but pack a mean punch (death ) if bitten him and his crew are all wearing booties on board now .. I wasn't even aware you got them down here until he showed me the pic of them , have seen plenty up north and will defiantly keep my eyes peeled now ..

We found one on the boat
We found one on the boat during clean up. It was tiny. About the size of your thumb nail. But big enough to see the distinctive blue rings when it was provoked.
Fish! HARD!

on the 3 Mile Reef
Showed this to a mate and he got a fair sized one last week on the 3 mile out from Swanbourne in a cray pot. so many things to contend with to get a feed of crays.. I think the most dangerous part about cray fishing is the boat ramp antics....
