Boat Covers - Best ... Worst?
Submitted by Gardie on Sat, 2012-10-20 08:52
HI
I need a good boat cover for my Frazer 5.25 voyager with a rocket launcher as i need to store the boat outside. Doesnt really need to be able to be left on with towing.
There seems a lot on the market , but nothing beats user experience , so would apreciate any input.
Cheers

Boat cover
Custom cover is always going to be better which should be designed to allow water to run off , canvas breathes as well so shouldn't get mold etc... 10oz canvas would be ideal UV and Fungal treated...be worth some coin I'd imagine...otherwise as stated mass produced canvas / pvc types but have it so water doesn't pool up ...

Go custom
I ve had a custom on my boat since new and after three years in Karratha it still looks like new.I got mine made by boat covers in wangara.I had four over the shelf ones on my last boat and they dont last long.
There are two types of people ,do'ers and watchers
Right now the do'ers are the doing it
And the watchers are watching us do it

GK trimmers
Have a custom one from GK trimmers, very happy with it, had it for a few years now, tow with it and with the boat out in the weather no uv damage to boat. not cheap but in my opinion it was well worth the money $1300 for 5m runabout.

Don't get one of the cheap
Don't get one of the cheap silver ones from Supercheap. A couple of months in the sun and they go all powdery before falling apart.
