Gone through the roof as well, it's typical of what happens when we have an opposition party that has no strength.

Sat, 2023-02-11 17:44

At least car rego pays for third party injury insurance. Apparently my boat rego pays for facilities yet if I go to any Metro NoR ramp I have to pay >$10 to park my trailer

The Ministers words below not

Mon, 2023-02-13 21:03

The Ministers words below not mine...

You would think if they are serious in anyway about the longevity of any demersal species in the West they would ban fishing for that species during the known spawning period...

"No-take zones are vital to protect threatened species, and also mean that surrounding areas increases in fish stocks," she said.

"These are really important habitats for rock lobsters, dhufish, pink snapper and other important species.

"Whilst most fishers do the right thing and stay in the legal fishing zones, we aren't afraid to crack down on those doing the wrong thing by fishing in the no-take areas."

Frosty can you again give us the reason you call it a boat trailer parking fee :)

boat rego

Thu, 2023-02-23 20:40

Fee's at the ramp are controlled by the council. They used to charge $5:00 at the oneat point peron but gave up after the ticket machines were constantly filled with super glue. No fee now just have to have cut lunch and water bottle if you get to the ramp to late, its a long hike parking out by the road.

And your right boat rego's have gone through the roof--- but what do we get for it, jack shit.

That's true for Ocean Reef

Fri, 2023-02-24 09:49

That's true for Ocean Reef and Mindarie is a private carpark run by the marina but Hillarys is definitely Dept of Transport as that's who you have to buy an annual pass from.

Superglue you say???

WA the most expensive

Fri, 2023-02-24 17:29

Had a quick look online. For the 3.75 roof topper WA is the most expensive. Other states under $100 for the same and NT has no charge as rego not required. Same sort of thing goes for the rec fishing licences, which if you want to do more than catch fish from a boat (RFBL only), add up to $200+. Totally reamed in WA. Have written to my local member asking please explain the higher costs than the rest of the country for rec licences and boat rego..

If doing the grey nomad thing and you came form the NT, where there is no boat rego, would you then have to register it in WA to use it? You can use an interstate licence and registered car for 3 months, but what about receiprocal boat rego? I presume lcal rego would be required in the same way that bag limts for fish caught in NT are different to those in WA. Dog's breakfast.

Im just glad I did a shitload of fishing and camping etc when I was younger because at the rate its going you won't be able to do anything soon.
