Boat Wreck

Heard a great bang and scraping out front of son's place in Exmouth. All rushed outside thinking something had collected all our cars parked  out front and found a big ally on it's side about 50 metres up the road. They had clipped the kerb  gone across the road and hit the kerb again tipping the boat off the trailer and dragging it up the bitumen.

Pulled the trailer away from the boat and many hands pushed it back on to its bottom, then came the hard part with too many chiefs and no indians having too manyideas on what to do. Kangaroo jacks to get the bow up, rollers underneath, big stands to support the boat when the back end was lifted as they winched the trailer underneath. Finally someone's 4x4 winch and a snatch block to get it on properly.

Bit of entertainment and one taken away in the paddy wagon  for a test by the local coppers.

Lot of damage done to the boat that isn't going to buff out

Spewing! That's one way to spoil a trip. Imagine getting back home and trying to explain to the Mrs why you have to spend another 20k on the boat

He is a local and must have been flying going by the drag marks

Going by the tyre marks on the kerb out front, it looks like the trailer wheel hit the kerb out front and flipped the boat off and onto its side, then he's dragged it some distance up the road before stopping with the boat still on its side .

Certainly not going to drive around with my boat not strapped down after seen that

Makes it even worse that his a local, the neighbours will keep reminding him for years to come. Yep few lessons there. Take wider turns and strap your rigs down, and if you hear a noise stop immediately
