Boating accident on swan river

Apparently one person has passed away and another is in critical condition ...perthnow has it as a jetski ...however radio reports state it was a boat towing two ski tubes and they hit a marker bouy up near Belmont stretch...

yeah traggic, many people
yeah traggic, many people forget how a ski rope acts as a pendulum and increses the speed on turns etc.
From what I have heard they hit the wake crossing it and flew out into the marker.
Question has to be asked why where they so close to the markers and at speed.
I can see a ban on ski-tubes coming out of this. You have bugger all control or steering when on one and not like ski's where you in more control and can let go!
Sad day for water sport.
