Bonefish on Crab Fligs
Submitted by big john on Wed, 2022-10-26 08:26
Finally got some spare time to knock up a quick video of my second trip to Cocos Island chasing bonefish on spin tackle, this time using Crab Fligs.
Conditions overall were less than favourable but we still fired a few shots, I had planned to get the get the drone up to film some eats but the wind and rain put paid to that.
Heading back in January, with possibly another new product, and hopefully favourable conditions for sight casting and filming (drone).

Designed for light spin tackle Andy. Very light weight and was tricky using them in the strong winds encountered.

Was watching the video with Rory (son) he was loving it, but yeah scratching his head on the casting side of things. The guide's big whip probably helps.

8ft
Yeah I upgraded from a 7'2" rod to an 8' rod prior to this last trip. You've gotta remember it's primarily sight casting so your maximum cast may be 30/40 feet total.
You need the light weight as a heavy splash, means Mr Bone has left the building.
