Keep it simple, try a double uni not first and use plenty of raps say about 8 to 10 on smaller line clases around 4 to 8 pound. use the double uni to conect the leader to the main line them your rigs can be made off the leader and your normal nots will do. Then when you have mastered that one the rest will become easy. Use pently of lube (spit) when pulling them down tight.
I also trim the tag ends right back once you know its going to hold so they slip through the guides nicely which will increase your casting range as well. For 4 pound braid i use 8 pound vanish flourocarbon and for 6 pound braid i use 10 pound leader for around sharp structure and havent be busted to many times. Any higher poundage than that will spook the fish into a strike i beleive some say otherwise. The only thing i do diferent on my larger spinnig outfits is to use an improved albright not to join the leader as thinker lines need a smaller not and the albright supplies this, goes through the giudes even better!
i think its spelled palmor knot .its a pearla tying braid to swivels and even hooks if your feeling lazy.this knot has never failed me braid to swivel to leader for bottom bouncing .its the easiest knot to tye bye a mile and can be done in a cyclone and very relieable
cheers mitch
always in it just the depth that varies
Personally I use the improved albright. Dead easy to tie and nice and small to get through ya guides. Or the Slim Beauty which is fine for heavier lines when casting. Can be a lil entertaining to tie sometimes depending on beer, swell or skippers having fun.

Geoff Wilson's book of knots & rigs
Should be in every angler's tackle box (I think I have said that somewhere before).

he does a book/dvd now too.
he does a book/dvd now too. But for joining braid to a leader i just use a back to back uni knot. Pretty simple and works fine in light lines!
