bream session 2
hey guys, me and lachieH(fishwrecked member) went again to our secret spot with lots of succsss. We got there and we started dropping prawns down, we dident hook up strait away but after a few drops i caught a small bream, i started getting a few more small bream. Lachie caught his first bream for the day. after ahwile we started running out of prawns so lachi whent to get some small crabs for bait. i lost a massive bream on the live crab. when we ran out i went to get some more crabs, i ended up getting 20 small crabs. we kept geting our livies taken until lachie hoked up to a moster bream at 26cm, he was happy.he got it on the live crab. Then i was waiting to get a pb for myself so i dropped a piece of prawn down and bang!!! hooked up, it sarted taking big runs and almost busting me, lachie got the net and skuped it up. i was stoked at my new pb at 28cm!!! it was relesed succses fully. i also found a dead scaly about to beach untill i picked it up. is rare for scalys to be in the canning? also while crabbing i got a yabbie looking thing, is it a yabbie or shrimp? after all it was a really good day, all was relesed.
if u know this spot can u please not metion it as this is our secret spot.

sounds like a great sesh,
sounds like a great sesh, that yabby thingy is probably a small prawn. The worms could be sand worms, you get them over from you in the flats. Also where and how were you catching those small crabs and how were you rigging them?
Fishing and catching are two different things. But i want to learn how to catch.

i don't think it's a small
i don't think it's a small prawn, there are lot's of yabbie like things in the swan/canning system whixh not many people know about. i believe one of the fishwrecked members works at the museum and might be able to identify it for you, but am i correct in thinking it has 1 big claw 1 small claw? was it under a rock?

Plus one
Looks like a pistol shrimp to me as well, as for the crabs I think they are called Swan River mud crabs, both are good bait and excellent in aquariums. Well done lads.
