Bridgetown for Easter. Advice please

Hello,  i am going to Bridgetown over the Easter long weekend.

http://maps.google.com.au/maps?q=ford%20house%20bridgetown&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=il

Never been down there. What should i be chasing down there?  Im guessing there'll be bream. but what else can i expect? Just planned on using river prawns.

Please advice of what i can be catching, and any specific baits/techniques?

It will be land based and within walking distance of where im staying. MAYBE access to a car.

Thanks,

Alex

Bridgetown is too far inland to catch bream, the only fish I've heard of being caught there are freshwater cobbler and that was many years ago.

Indeed was quiet disappointed with how little was in there although it was running high when we were there - will you have a canoe as I have a suggestion if the answer is yes!

redfin & cobbler

What is the best bait to target redfin & cobbler?

I've seen people on here people catching them with little lures, but i'll probably be fishing with a few first timers.  I'd rather them lose my bait, hooks and rigs rather than have to replace lures.

However if there are any deadly lures you can recommend me, i might grab one or two for myself Tongue out

No canoe sunshine.

There are trout, redfin, and cobbler in the river small celta spinners are good. But like tournament said worms are one of the best baits you can get for redfin and cobbler and trout will take them to.
