Burns beach drag too tight

My mate is over visiting justnow so too him to burns beach for a night fish. Told him never too leave the drag on incase something big takes it. Anyway at midnight he decides not to use the rod bell I gave him and leaves the drag on tight. I ended up chasing my rod in to water, missed by inches. If anyone sees it although prob never will, let me know. Starting to see funny side now!

It was a penn spin fisher
It was a penn spin fisher 950 and a 13ft timberwolf rod, both pretty new. Good job it wasn't my other outfit as it was a penn prevail and penn 10500 both new that day. Just landed snook and a ray. Missed another really big bite aswell. Tried a balloon after midnight but the easterly wind was just not quite enough, took 20 mins for the ballon to get 100 metres so gave up and went home

All I pictured was you diving at the rod butt before it disappeared into the wash, only not to.slide but grip up on the sand, on your face and curl up like.a banana with your feet nearly hitting the back of your head hahahaha. But seriously, that would suck, after advising.him, ahhh mate, put your hand in your pocket and buy me a new outfit!

i nearly done the same to my
i nearly done the same to my new gear - never again will i have the drag on tight. 100m dash down the beach not fun when your gear is on the line.
