Hey everyone,
Were heading to Bussleton this coming weekend, for the vintage motorcross, but were also gonna have a couple of days fishing. Havent really fished that area before so any tips for spots will be appreciated. Ill be fishing for smaller stuff like whiting and herring but also have a bigger rod out with something else.
Cheers in advance,
Vinnie

Head down to the the Vasse boat ramp area and cast off the rocks, should be some KGW's around.

hey vinnie pretty hard to go past the jetty mate for all things small and large . Should be plenty of bread and butter fish and squid around.
There is still a few mulloway being caught off the jetty and the odd pinky around the traps too .(
stormy weather being the key)
Good luck

go to the eagle bay car park and walk out the rocks on the west side and cast into the sandy bay.if you use berley and a long shank size 10 with a bit of meat or prawn you will get skippy whiting and herring.I rig my big rod with a spoon sinker running on the main line and swivel then 1metre of 60lb then swivel then another1metre of 60lb with a large white blob running then swivel then 450mm of 60lb and a gang with tarpon suicide treble set up to suit the bait size.herring is best if you can get one.its a bitch to cast I have a 12 foot alvey set up with 25lb.I have snorkeled my own set up and the herring circles under the blob for hours and doesnt tangleSalmon are almost all year round and I have seen super size sambos cruising past when I had no line in.good luck
just do it.

Jetty gaff
yeah mate a long gaff is needed to land anything decent as the jetty is is 3-4m above the water . Most days there will be someone close by with a rope gaff.
