The Busso Jetty report 8-3-13

There is not much to report this time unfortunatly with fishing for anything besides herring becoming very quiet over the past two weeks. Tailor numbers have dropped to almost shut down levels over the past week, if you are targeting them your best bet at the moment is to go out in the morning towards the end of the jetty. The odd bonito can still be landed in the late arvo/eavening but they have been mostly running first thing in the morning. Squid numbers are still slowly picking up with some large specimens being landed over the past week. If you are targeting squid the first half of the night is the way to go. The good news is that if you after a feed of herring they are around in their thousands after dark and they are a good size too with some being around 30cm.

That is all for now, I will report back when it picks up again so keep an eye on this report for updates. Tight lines everyone and good luck if you are hitting the jetty.
