hi guys, this weekend i went to busso jetty for a fish and i put a live herring down on the 300lb handline hoping for a sambo and caught this nice salmon as a by catch. i also lost a moster salmon as it busted me off on my 30lb outfit. the salmon wieghed 4.5kg and 75cm. i will put some more pics up soon.

Go hard son
Good work young bloke, you need to learn some knots if you're getting busted off on 30lb!!

I'm with Gilly, you guys
I'm with Gilly, you guys jumped to conclusions re; getting busted off by a salmon, but it was on the pylons not on a beach. Give the young bloke a go. Don't beat him down about his technique.

Holding the rod tip vertical
Holding the rod tip vertical landing a fish from a jetty is a great way to snap the tip of a rod off.

Well done
Well done mate your in some serious form in the last couple of months, I lost what I imagine was a 40-50cm or so skippy there on light gear right at the end it is a very hard area to fish trying to find the balance how much pressure to put on, I went with not enough pressure and it was game over for me around the pylons!
I would hate to see what a 7kg salmon could do around those plyons!

Yeh
I caught about 6 or so around 30cm, on half mulies, I then decided to float down a full mulie bad idea on the gear I was using.
