Can tell the tourist season is upon us down here.

Found this on the beach today. I am hopefull it is no one on here but incase your reading this if you are caught by me or other locals doing this the stingray wont be the only one getting its wings clipped.

I've seen a stingray with its tail chopped off and guts cut open left on a jetty that get a good amount of trasffic.  It's nearly about the stupidest thing I've seen in regards to fishing..  if you don't like rays, just cut ya line

Yeah all too common a sight unfortunately. I pulled in a ~ 15kg+ unit just over a week or so ago. it took a ballooned bait on the way out (probably bouncing across a sand bar where the breakers were forming). Got it in after a good scrap and some turnip had removed its tail right up to the body.

Why do it?
