Buying a second hand 4x4 Dual Cab
Submitted by the_dude84 on Thu, 2014-03-20 19:20
So I'm about to upgrade my Old Mazda Dual Cab to a newer something(Woohoo). My limit is 20k. Am looking at D22 3L navaras.
Is there any other makes/models I should be looking at?
How economical are the nissan 3L? (I'm sure other people have them)
Have found one with all the extras I want- Bullbar, Spotties, Snorkel, CB Radio.

All it really has to do is tow my dinghy, handle beach driving! ( I'm never taking a car to the powerline corridoor again)
Thanks for the advice/discussion in advance!

Mate I had a look at a new
Mate I had a look at a new d22 navara that was on special during the end of year sales, was around 28k with nissan offering very competitive finance and good warranties, may be worth considering. As said I had a look at the navara but was not really suitable for me, I ended up getting an 09 ranger with low Kim's, long range tank, compressor, diff locker, spotties, arb bullbar and canopy for just over 20k. Good luck with your purchase.

Back seats have negligible
Back seats have negligible legroom, but you won't have to worry about that. There is a lot of fruit put on that one, gotta ask what kinda life has it had, my bro did similar stuff to his lux and took it on some pretty big trips. Imo the d22 gets a bit tired after 150k (worked at a place with a couple) I was lookinground for pretty mu ch the same thing a few weeks ago before plans got a radical shake up. I found a 2010 triton with minor hail damage, $15k with less than 50 thou on the clock. If your not in a rush a bargain will come up.

A workmate of mine has a 2006
A workmate of mine has a 2006 Bt 50 and it has been nothing but trouble for him! Theres not many of them for sale so I'm assuming they are good cars! I have been looking at tritons and it seems like you get more for your money. Hiluxs seem overpriced for what you get. I have seen D-40's going for less then 100k on the clock in my price range. No rush!! The right car will pop it's head up sooner or later!
