there will be a meeting with fisheries and local members at the pinjarra RSL on tues dec 1 ( time will be posted at later date probably start at 6.30 or 7.00) meeting is to talk about new regs and provide feedback to DOF and local politcians .If you feel like i that the new boat\bag limits are wrong and discriminate against boaters or you have input to offer as to what is going on with boat fishing ect in the area please come along and have your say.
the purpose of this meeting is to get the feel of what you think and put that to those that make the rules please bring an open mind and have your say and listen to what others have to say.

Where has this info come from??
The reason I ask is due to some meetings being held of late with some high powed business men and Lmp, these meeting have been held behind closed doors. The last open meeting held was at the MOFSC.
Thanks for the info

selfish
"If you feel like i that the new boat/bag limits are wrong and discriminate against boaters"!!!! what the hell is that about brother?? that is one hell of a selfish statement! when you go out for a fish you usually go out to get a feed not to stick the vax vacuum on the ocean brother, there is nothing wrong w the new limits! good on em for having the balls to do it, up in kalbarri we arent happy that we cant go out or go off the beach and catch a pinky but we know that when we go out for a fish we are going out to get a feed and thats what we get. A couple of fish is heaps for the average family and if you want more you go out again for another fish! im all for the new regs and have no probs with them! when there are no fish left down there to catch i wana see your comment on why!

what im talking bout
is the boat/bag limit. where it was two dhuies per person its now less than one if you fish more than two people on your boat , new boat/bag is 2 dhuies per boat, so the guys that fish 3,4,5 6 or more on there boat have to share 2 dhuies between then & that means the skipper has to play god and decide who catches what . I am happy to just bring home a feed as i just love a day out having a fish but am not looking forward to telling the bloke who catches the 3rd dhuie that he does not have the same right as the guys who got no 1&2 . i waited a long time to get my boat & have always played by the rules & always will .but there are a lot of boaters around who dont like these regs and this meeting is for people to have there say & if you feel you want to go & put a point up than feel free to come along

dhuis!
what is the obsession with dhuis! no wonder these rules came in! i can see your point with the 2 dhuis but there are other fish out there and as fishy said sharing is caring! ill go out and catch fish and then go and give it away to people who cant go fishing! a good day out with m8s would involve sharing your catch which means everyone gets a good feed of the catch! ive got a `140k boat coming over from the US and couldnt give a rats if i dont get dhuis or my bag limit/boat limit. one of my m8s has a red emperor spot up here and we go out to this spot which by the way is 15mile out get a red then come home thats it no more 1 fish happy as, then we come in and the fish gets divided up between a few crew! open your eyes guys! and i know whats trying to be said to me dhui dhui dhui dhui!! your all obsessed with dhuis! give me a baldy anyday!

we wish
we had as many options down here but it is just not the case & ye i would rather have a red or a baldy but where i go & its a good 40 mile return trip where going to catch dhuies & blackass most of the time which causes our problems , BUT this post is get guys together and help out with some long term ideas not just bag limits and its a love of fishing that is first on the agenda & if bag limits dont change so be it

Planning to go...
...to this meeting. My view is that boaters are, to a certain extent, being discriminated against. How come shore fishos don't have to cough up for a licence as well? $30 is a very reasonable figure when you consider what's at stake but I believe everyone who chucks a line into the ocean (or river or dam for that matter) should have to bear some responsibility.
