Calling boat paint experts

Ok guys and girls, IV taken on a baron 16 footer as a rebuild project with a friend. Neither of us have experience in most tasks involved which is half the reason why we chose to take it on... Plus we have a boat at the end.
Couple of questions on the paint side though, I'm looking through the Hempel website and there are way too many options on there for the untrained eye. I'm chasing some info on what products to use where. IV gathered I can sand down existing old gel coat and use a high build primer over that for a couple of coats then topcoat over top, I'm also thinking I can do this with the hull? Can I use a topcoat under the waterline ? Any product info would go a long way and process crash coarse would put my mind at ease

My paint supplier is Robayne
My paint supplier is Robayne in Welshpool and there is a guy there who is a gun on marine paint especially for small boats. I've had a yarn with him and he's happy to impart his knowledge.

The guys at automotive paint
The guys at automotive paint tools and equipment in Gibbs st Cannington are my go to guys for anything to do with paint! They had an answer for every one of the 1000 question I had for them.i did a full resto on an old Swiftcraft a few years ago and the paint looks as good today as when I sprayed it on. They advised me not to use high build primer instead using an etch primer as it adheres better to glass. I then sprayed the whole boat in 2 pack, I used a high metallc paint and few coats of clear over the top and it came out smicko! I can't recomend u tube highly enough! Good luck and be prepare to sand! Lots of sanding! And more sanding! The better the surface to be painted the better the paint job.

Thanks for the info guys, IV
Thanks for the info guys, IV contacted robayne and hopefully hear back next week... Flash as we're you painting directly to fiberglass with the etching? Most of my painting will be over old gel coat... Pedro I'd love to take you up on that offer but will have to be down the line as I'm heading to thevernard island tonight for a few days... Don't worry it's for work, I'm not fishing
