Calls for tax hike on 4WD owners
WTF? Why are they taxing 4WDs? Many owners of these vehicles are tourists taking money to regional Western Australia.
Crikies, sell the car and go to Phuket for the holidays. Most of the time the family cruises around in the 1.8l Toyota Corolla.
To cop a lump some tax for bugger all use is rediculous.
I feel like Im getting the bill for the mining boom.

If the roads are being
If the roads are being ruined who was the genius that come up with the concept that rail was too expensive?, shut down all the rail infrastructure and over loaded the roads with trucks?
Just think of the emission savings we would have now with the rail freight still going.
Sounds like a pollie sold out on the rail for a nice business for his mates?
Was it Brian Burke that shut down the rail?

one us 4x4 owners have is
one us 4x4 owners have is that there is so many on the road that have and never will see anything but bitumen apart from the lawn when they wash it using up extra water as its got a bit of dust on it {god forbid}, 4x4's are there for only a couple of reasons as they are good workhorses for towing boats trailors etc and there is off roading, jmo but if they are going to slug 4x4 owners with extra tax it should be the ones that have them for no other reason but to show off with their status symble, just my 2 bobs worth

have to agree Russ & Sandy
our 4x4 is used for towing the boat, launching, fishing off of the beach, work horse going to the tip or moving/buying things. We are a one family car, got rid of the falcon as we don't need to cars anymore & the trailer.
What is getting up my noses apart from the tax's they are thinking of imposing on us. Read quite a few comments on various sites and they all say the 4x4 are ruining the roads, can somebody explain to this blonde how a 4x4 ruins roads? Are they talking off road, we all know whats ruining off road tracks, especially in Leeman bloody trailbikes are digging up and destroying 4x4 tracks to the beaches and flat rock, gets a bit dicey driving to flat rock trying to get a taylor, the tracks are really cut up, plus not wide enough for both bike verses 4x4 coming around the corner (blind corners) bang your dead bike rider, even travelling at 15klms
As I'ved stated before doesn't matter what government is in they'll rape you one way or the other.
