Camping and outdoor shops
Submitted by Simo_ on Sat, 2014-06-07 20:14
I'm looking at doing a camping fishing trip next year instead of getting a house. Was wondering what's the best camping and outdoor store to look at all the gear I'm going to need.
cheers

Best advice I can give is
Best advice I can give is shop around. Use the Internet. If you are starting from scratch, think about what you need, what you want, and then look on line and in all the shops. It's a pretty competitive market.... use that to your advantage

Black wolf, oztent, waeco, engel, toyota, nissan, coleman, primus, hahn, carlton, kleenex, sorbent, cant go wrong with them brands......
I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.

start with Quokka and
start with Quokka and Gumtree. There is a truckload of good gear cheap on there if you have the time up your sleeve.
Plenty of people do it once then never again (or their missus's!)
Our trips to Coral Bay for 7 of us consists of virtually a full suite of gear including brand new Oztrail tent tables cookers bunks etc bought for less than $300 in one hit.
Give a man a mask, and he'll show you his true face...
The older you get the more you realize that no one has a f++king clue what they're doing.
Everyone's just winging it.

Second that on classifieds,
Second that on classifieds, scored a brand new black wolf tent for almost half price after previously owners set it up and realised it was to big for them. Half the stuff was still in the wrapping.
also see a lot of things like generators,Engels that are hardly used... But buyer beware you need to know what your looking for do research or you can get stung
