hey fellas,
I figured there are guys in this forum into camping. So I was thinking of hiking to the top and bluff knoll and setting up camp. Im hoping I could just set up a tent somewhere on the peak or near the peak. Just for the accomplishment and to hang out with my friends. Is this possible?
thanks

Im hoping to head down there
Im hoping to head down there this year as well. From what I've been able to find you can swag it at the car park which is 1.5 hors hike to the summit. Just waiting for the right weather pattern to form.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

Cold
So it's not bloody cold enough here for you guys.
Balls of brass to be there at the moment.
The right weather pattern will round about November Haha.
Good luck when you take on the Bluff & remember to let someone know about the trip & please be safe.
May need a good casting rod from there though..............
Cheers & Stay safe

few times
Gday bud.
Im originally from down that way and trekked to the top a few times. I have seen crew wandering around with camping gear up there. Not to mention sometimes hearing about people that failed to return after a camping trip when they said they would.
Might be best to get in contact with the shire of that region. Might be able to camp, but may need permits and all that kinda thing..

Stirling Range
Stirling Range is a national park and falls under the jurisdiction of DPaw. It would be best to contact them to find out some more about camping at the peak.
Here is some more info... https://parks.dpaw.wa.gov.au/park/stirling-range

Yeah shouldnt be a problem
Yeah shouldnt be a problem camping up there as long as you get away from the day use area a bit. I have done the ridge walk a couple of times from Bluff Knol thru to Ellen Peak which requires 3 days walking and two nights camping up on top of the mountains. The best camping is on the arrows where there is a cave on the northern side which gives plenty of shelter from wind or rain.

I've camped up along the
I've camped up along the ellen peak-bluff knoll track before. Best to find a cave to sleep in as they offer the best protection from the wind during the night, like poltergeist suggested, the cave on the northern side of the arrows is one of the better ones, you have to climb up a small wall to get in but the view and comfort is definetly worthwhile. cold shouldnt be an issue if you wear thermals and a wind/rainproof jacket.
