i think that as well but the red i wasnt sure as its not bleeding

Yep its a scalie , have caught a very odd one with a tiny touch of red , nothing like that but.
From my limited knowledge its not good , and maybe a water quality , toxic issue.
Apprently fish can react this way to poor water quality , and there own defences create this red reaction , whatever it is,
to fight the toxin, but the anti-body they create ends up poisoning them anyway.
Its common in some aqarium fish , and known in saltwater fish occasionly.
Might have swam too close to the Kwinana area?, was it ammo jetty or rocko jetty caught?

Looks like a Halco 120 red head.
Put some good rings and couple of singles on it...Lol
Sometimes when the water is quiet, you can hear the fish laughing at you !

Haha theres the answer to the toxic poor quality water situation. Poor little guy is red faced from swimming through to many turds.
