Can crays get out of pots?

How effectively are crays trapped when they enter pots? Some say they can come & go as they please. Some say they find it pretty hard to get back out. What are your thoughts, are they likely to stay there if there's bait remaining?

Cray pots
Yes crays do get out of the pots, the only thing that keeps them in is the bait, so always put plenty of bait in your pot. A few around at the moment.

By law...
...the crays have to have a means of escape...gaps for smaller ones, or back out through the neck. This way they don't get trapped and left to rot/get eaten by occies in case pot can't be retrieved.
So yeah, as said above, load them up with bait and give the crays a reason to stick around!
