I just moved to Canberra for work, so ill be here for a while. I should have a car in a few weeks time, so ill have transport. Thanks for the comments so far
Plenty of carp and redfin in all the local lakes. Plus a few good natives (Cod Yellow Belly). Natives, carp and the occasional trout in the bidgee river just out of town.
Googong Dam just out past Queanbeyan (30 mins), redfin, natives (some big cod out there) and trout.
2 hours drive to the snowy lakes. Jindabine, Eucumbene, Tantangra have plenty of trout. Plenty of trout in the rivers up that way. 1.5 hours Pejar dam half way between Goulburn and Crookwell some nice trout.
